First time buyers mortgage journey
How did you apply for your mortgage?
First things first
These are the initial steps to get the ball rolling
- You’ll need to get an Agreement in Principle from us. This is an initial assessment we make based on things like income and financial position.
- Send us any relevant documentation and files. We need these to complete income and expenditure checks.
- Our team will get in touch with you to book a call with an adviser.
Getting your offer and valuation
Making your mortgage a reality
- Your Mortgage Advisor will give you a call to discuss your mortgage requirements, complete an underwriting referral and give you a personalised recommendation.
- We'll send you a mortgage illustration and a mortgage advice report.
- Your Mortgage Advisor will get in touch to see what you think and take payment if there's a fixed-rate fee to pay.
- The property valuation is completed and sent back to us.
- We’ll then send you your mortgage offer documents to review!
Legals and drawdowns
The legal stuff to help finalise your mortgage
- We send your offer and our instructions to your conveyancer to start the conveyancing process.
- Once the conveyancing process is completed, we’ll get the drawdown date from your conveyancer.
- The final checks are done and the money is ready to be released to your conveyancer.
- The money is sent and your mortgage is up and running.
- You’ll get confirmation of your mortgage completion and payment details!
Hooray!
You're all set! Nothing left to do now except plan the housewarming party and enjoy your lovely new home!
